Home Care Services

Spectrum Home Care provides a full range of skilled home care services. We are guided by our mission statement: "To provide compassionate, high quality skilled care in the home." Our supportive professional home care team understands the patient's needs, values, fears, and goals.

  • We are a Medicare and Blue Cross certified home care agency. We also accept Medicaid, PPOM, Auto Insurance, Third Party Payers, and other providers.
  • Patients are seen within 24 hours of your request for services.
  • We employ highly experienced physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapists, and medical social workers, all available full time on our staff.
  • Our experienced certified home health aide staff provides personal care for your patients while maintaining their independence and dignity.

Registered Nurse Case Managers

Our highly skilled registered nurses have an abundance of experience in the home care setting. They are able to fully assess all of the needs of the patient's and effectively coordinate their care.



The case manager serves as an important link between the physician and the patient. Together, the physician and case manager are able to ensure that the patient maintains independence while recovering at home.		 Spectrum Home Care

Certified Home Health Aides

All of our home health aides are state certified through the Hospice and Homecare Foundation. They follow the plan of care developed by the case manager. Some of the functions they perform are:
  • Monitor vital signs and report changes
  • Assist with simple wound care
  • Follow range of motion exercises as developed by the case manager
  • Assist with personal care: bath, shower, shampoo, skin care
  • Prepare meals as necessary
  • Light housekeeping/laundry tasks

Private Duty

Patient Support Services

Patient Support Services provides excellent alternatives for keeping clients in their homes during challenging times in their lives. When additional support is needed, the experienced professionals of Patient Support Services are available to assist people with special needs in their homes, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week.

Patient Support Services is affiliated with Spectrum Home Care and offers personalized private duty care for individuals at home. Our caregivers can provide more than just "medical" treatment. These caregivers may provide companionship and assist with such activities of daily living as light housekeeping. They help fill the "gaps" left where traditional health care leaves off.

Patient Support Services prides itself on carefully screening all staff members that we hire for employment, including criminal background checks and professional references. Patient Support Services employees are insured and bonded, and tested at all levels of competency.

Patient Support Services advocates for clients and will make every attempt to deliver high quality compassionate care.

Leaders in Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Our Orthopedic Specialty Program, instituted in 1994, is designed to provide benefits before and after surgery. We specialize in total joint replacement services as well as meeting the care needs of all orthopedic patients, both surgical and non-surgical. The program has proven to be beneficial to both patients and physicians.

Pre-Surgery Patient Benefits

Education
Our nurses and physical therapists meet with the patients at home prior to surgery. The patients are informed of what to expect during the course of hospitalization and after their return home. Instruction is given in the use of any assistive devices (walker. tub. seat. cane. etc.) they may need after surgery.

Assessment
We evaluate the need for pre-operative services, including strengthening excercises. We also identify environmental barriers that my interfere with post-operative recovery and recommend adaptations if necessary.

Peace of Mind
When patients are educated about their surgery and post-operative program they are less anxious and more comfortable, allowing them to focus on their recovery.

Post-Surgery Patient Benefits

Continuity of Care
The nurses and physical therapists see the patients following discharge from the hospital. Patients have the same professional staff follow with them through the course of their recovery.

Monitoring
We maintain contact with the physicians regarding their patients' progress.

Instruction
While supervising the patients' progress we provide them with instruction in the exercise programs that are proper for them.

Wound care, pain management, and anticoagulation therapy are provided as needed.

Spectrum will also schedule a home health aid to assist with personal hygiene, activities of daily living and light tasks.
